What You Need To Know..
With any New Electrical Installation you should be aware of the following:
All electrical work in the UK needs to be carried out to the BS7671 regulations to ensure compliance with the UK and European legislation and therefore be considered safe.
All new installations need to be reported and logged for Building Regulation Approval.
Any domestic dwellings or buildings which share an electrical supply with 'dwellings' need to meet approval with 'Part P' of the Building Regulations, you can download a copy here pre 2013 and here post April 2013. The approved Document 'Part P' gives all guidance on the necessary aspects of electrical installations and needs to be adhered to, in order to pass Building Regulations. You should be in receipt of Test Results for any new electrical installations you have carried out.
O.S Electrical are qualified to the latest 17th Edition of the BS7671 regulations and are a NAPIT Part P Quality Assurance Scheme member. As part of our Testing & Certification process we will take care of all Building Regulation notifications as part of the service we provide.
